Kendall McGee is thrilled to be telling the stories of coastal North Carolina!

Kendall is originally from Charlotte and came to Wilmington in 2019 after last working in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. At legacy CBS affiliate WBTW, she began writing for digital media and later transitioned to serve as the station’s assignment manager.

She is a 2016 graduate of Appalachian State University with degrees in communication studies and journalism. Her work as a journalist is heavily motivated by the necessity for us as humans to share our stories and spark important conversations that create change in our communities.

She strives to learn something new every day and thrives in the fast- paced environment that is local news. When she’s not chasing stories, she enjoys cooking, traveling, lifting weights and surfing.
