Kristen Rary is the Lowcountry Reporter for WTOC. She is an Atlanta native and joined the WTOC team in June of 2019.

While at The University of Georgia, Kristen earned a Bachelors in Journalism and a Bachelors in Political Science. She also reported and anchored for UGA's Grady Newsource. While in school Kristen was awarded a Hearst award for her work covering deaf accessibility and limitations at the University. She was also named a Deborah Norville Scholar for her political coverage leading up to the 2018 midterm elections.

Prior to her work at WTOC, Kristen spent time in newsrooms such as Atlanta's WSB-TV and D.C.'s WRC-TV, where she learned the skills she needs to report on the Lowcountry and greater Savannah area.

Kristen is excited to get to know the people of Savannah and South Carolina, so if you see her around please stop and say hello! She loves to learn more about people, and definitely won't turn down restaurant suggestions!
