CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A Charleston County Deputy is recovering this morning after being pinned by a vehicle last night on James Island.
It happened last night before 6pm near the intersection of Maybank Highway and Riverland Drive outside of the James Island County Park.
Officials tell Live 5 News the deputy was on duty and helping a motorist push his car, that had broken down, out of the road. That's when officials say the camper hit and pinned him between the two vehicles. The Deputy's legs were not broken but were injured.
No one else was injured in the accident and no charges have been filed against the driver of the camper at this time.
