Passenger dead after drunk driving accident

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – Drunk driving accident leaves one man dead and another arrested after the vehicle hit a tree at Southrail Road and Ashley Phosphate around 10:50 p.m. Saturday.

The passenger, 32-year-old Eddie Harris of North Charleston, was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina where he was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m.

The driver, 21-year-old Christopher Leroy Wright of North Charleston, is charged with driving under the influence as a felony and it's his third offense for driving under suspension.
