Mt. Pleasant bank robbery might be linked to April robbery

MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Mt. Pleasant police say a bank robbery suspect jumped a counter Monday afternoon to get his hands on a bank's register.

The robbery happened at about 3 p.m. Monday at the Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard.

Investigators think this robbery could be connected to the robbery of a Bank of America on Folly Road on April 7. Both suspects jumped the counter and were covered with a hat and mask. Neither suspect showed a weapon.

Police say the suspect in Monday's robbery jumped the counter, took cash from the till and left the area on foot, heading towards the Ravenel Bridge.

The suspect is described as a six foot white male with an average build.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
