Police investigate robbery of teenager in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are looking for several suspects who allegedly robbed a teenager while he walking Tuesday night.

According to police, officers responded to the Dorchester Gardens Apartments in reference to a teenage victim who stated that as he was walking toward the apartments he was approached by several black males. He told police that an unknown black male wearing a blue polo shirt and khaki pants took his cell phone and the others began to shake his pants as if they were checking for money.

The victim told police that he thinks two of the suspects might attend the same school as him. All suspects fled on foot toward Dorchester Village MHP.

The incident remains under investigation.
