Miss SC makes sandwich to help Charleston charity

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Miss South Carolina United States Valarie Kobrovsky has created a new sandwich, and a bagel shop in Charleston is donating proceeds from the wrap to a homeless shelter.

Kobrovsky will show off her new "Miss SC Sash Wrap" sandwich Wednesday morning at The Bagel Shop in downtown Charleston.

The sandwich is a spinach wrap with mixed greens, cucumber, zucchini, hummus and pesto herb aioli.

The bagel shop is giving half the proceeds from the sandwich to HUG Charleston, and the fundraising organization will give all that money to Crisis Ministries, a Charleston homeless shelter.
