CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A man suspected of shooting another man in the head Tuesday, was given a $1 million bond Thursday. Authorities are on the lookout for a second suspect in connection with the Charleston County shooting.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is looking for 23-year-old Antoine Donell Alston on charges of attempted murder and armed robbery. Investigators have arrested Eric Joseph Thompson for attempted murder and armed robbery.

Thompson was given a $1 million bond Thursday afternoon. Alston is accused of shooting a man on Tuesday at a home on Winchester Street.

The victim told detectives that Thompson and Alston, who was armed with a gun, went to his home on Winchester Road and demanded money from him Tuesday afternoon.

A police report states that the victim was forced to his knees and pistol whipped with the gun.

According to investigators, the suspect fought the suspects off and was shot in the head as he ran for the door. The victim was transported to the hospital.

The sheriff's office says that Alston should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached if located. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (843) 554-2475 or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554 - 1111.
