CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - An early morning burglary last weekend at a King Street office building has Charleston police searching for two suspects spotted on surveillance video.
Police say that surveillance video shows two men entering a building at 145 King St. at 1:48 a.m. last Saturday. The two suspects entered Suite 102, belonging to Hellman Yates Attorneys at Law, and stole three laptops, three blackberry cell phones and other items.
The suspects were also seen on video going into another business room, where police found five holes kicked into the drywall, and numerous items strewn about the room.
The victim, who says he was the last to leave the building the previous evening, arrived at the office at 10 a.m. the next morning. The victim then called the police, who took statements from the victim, as well as the building owner.
Investigators checked for fingerprints and were able to find a sandal that was left behind in one of the rooms. They also discovered that there were no signs of forced entry into the building.
Surveillance footage shows that the two suspects were both white males between 17 and 23 years old, roughly 5'6" to 5'10" in height, and weighing 150 to 170 pounds.
Anyone who has any information should call Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
