NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are looking for a man they say robbed a newspaper delivery man at gunpoint early Tuesday morning.

The victim told police he stopped in front of Rosaly's Convenience on Rivers Avenue to put newspapers in the stand when a man approached him and demanded his wallet. The victim said he turned around and the suspect pulled a gun on him.

"This kid caught me by surprise," the victim said. "He was behind me before I even knew it."

The victim says the suspect then took off running toward Barnwell and Grimke Street.

"I've probably had about 10 other incidents in 12 years on the job," the victim said. "I've been jumped before and had knives pulled on me."

The suspect is described as having a short afro and being around 5'6".
