BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - One person was killed Saturday afternoon in Berkeley County after two cars collided head-on.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 1994 Ford pick-up truck was traveling west on Oakley Road around 1:46 p.m. Saturday and a 2005 Pontiac was traveling east. The two cars collided head-on, killing the driver of the Pontiac.
The Berkeley County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 19-year-old Thomas Mack of Cross. He died from multiple injuries sustained in the crash.
Troopers have not determined which car contributed to the accident. The accident is under investigation by highway patrol and the Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team.
