BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The coroner's office has identified a 21-year-old woman who was killed after her car veered off Interstate 26 and struck a tree in Berkeley County.
The Berkeley County Coroner's Office says Tenille Russell of Ridgeville died due to head trauma.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Russell was driving a Honda Civic westbound on I-26 around 12:28 p.m. when she drove off the left side of the roadway into the median.
Highway patrol says the car then struck a tree and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
According to the coroner's office, Russell was not wearing a seatbelt and her death has been ruled accidental.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
