MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say that a Mount Pleasant principal and coach has confessed to charges he sexually molested teen boys, aged 13 to 15.
Police arrested 32-year-old Larry "Skip" Reville of Mt. Pleasant. Reville is charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and three counts of lewd acts on a minor. On Saturday, bond was set at $675,000.
Investigators say more charges are expected to be filed against Reville.
Reville has worked as upper school principal at Coastal Christian Preparatory School, on McCants Drive in the Old Village section of Mount Pleasant.
The Chairman of the Board of the school, Brent Egan, says Reville has been fired. He worked at the school for about a year. The victims are not affiliated with Coastal Christian Preparatory School.
"My personal reaction, I think the reaction of our school and church is devastated, shocked by the news," Egan said. "Our main concern is for our parents and for our children. We will be providing counseling sessions to help deal with their questions and concerns."
Reville also has been tennis coach at Bishop England High School.
According to the arrest warrants, the Lowcountry Children's Center notified police last Thursday that Reville was allegedly involved in numerous sexual assaults with juveniles. Court documents say Reville is accused of inappropriately touching and performing oral sex on three teen males, ages 13 to 15.
The documents describe Reville, who confessed soon after his arrest, as a "coaching figure" to his accusers.
Parents of Coastal Christian students were notified about the arrest in an e-mail.
"It's heartbreaking," said one Coastal Christian parent. "It's heartbreaking for the students, it's heartbreaking for the teachers here, right the staff. It's just, there's no other words for it."
Police say there may be more alleged victims out there.
"That's why we will be bringing in professionals from Darkness to Light to meet with our parents and answer these questions and concerns and give them the information that they need," Egan said.
Reville is being held in the Charleston County jail. It was unclear if he has a lawyer.
