COTTAGEVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Cottageville police have located the getaway car from a bank robbery earlier this week.

The car was found in a field Thursday night about a mile outside of Cottageville. Red dye from the dye pack that exploded during the robbery was also found in the car.

No money was recovered from the car, which is believed to be a 1987 Ford Thunderbird, and the suspects are still on the run.

Cottageville police responded to Enterprise bank Monday morning after employees reported that two men tied up four people and robbed the bank at gunpoint.

According to police, two men wearing hoodies and armed with guns robbed the bank and a third man served as the getaway driver. The two men walked into the bank at 9 a.m. armed with gun and tied up three clerks and a customer.

A witness from across the street called 911 after seeing something suspicious.
