NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police have arrested an 18-year-old man who they say robbed and shot a Domino's pizza delivery driver on Friday night.  They are still trying to identify a second suspect.

According to the North Charleston Police Department, Stephawn Sherod Brown shot 20-year-old Maraleius Birdsong during a robbery.  Officers say Birdsong was trying to deliver a pizza ordered from the Appian Way Apartments complex but when he arrived, residents said they didn't order a pizza.

Police say he was heading back to his car when two men robbed and shot him.  Birdsong died from his injuries at MUSC early Saturday.

Police say Brown lived in the apartment complex, and was found and arrested close to the scene.

He is now charged with armed robbery, murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

He will go to bond court on Monday at 11 a.m. He's being held at the Dorchester County Detention Center until then.
