JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified two victims who were killed Sunday in a serious accident which shut down Folly Road in both directions for more than three hours.

The coroner's office says 33-year-old Joshua Miller, of Folly Beach, died as a result of blunt force trauma. The coroner says Miller was wearing seat belt and was driving away from Folly Beach.

The second victim is 75-year-old James Minchew, also from Folly Beach. Minchew is said to have died from blunt force trauma. The coroner says Minchew was driving toward Folly Beach and did not have a seatbelt on.

Authorities say three vehicles were involved in the Folly Road accident between Bowen's Island and Sol Legaree Road. The initial crash was a head-on collision.

According to Folly Beach Public Safety officials, six other people have been taken to area hospitals including several toddlers.

All lanes heading toward and away from Folly Beach have since been cleared and traffic is once again moving through the area.
