Bond denied for teen accused of fatally shooting man in the head
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Bond was denied for a 19 year old charged with fatally shooting a man in the head in North Charleston.
Torren Marquiz Eady was denied bond for murder Wednesday night and given a $300,000 bond for three counts of attempted murder. A judge also set a $50,000 bond for a charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
North Charleston Police Department officials say Eady was arrested at a home on Ridgebrook Drive.
According to an affidavit, Eady went to the 1900 block of Success Street on April 6 around 10:05 p.m. and confronted two people who were with a group of people on a porch.
The affidavit states that the confrontation stemmed from an earlier altercation over custody of a child. Police say after a brief exchange of words, Eady took out a gun and fired several shots towards the group of people on the porch.
Court records state one of the bullets struck 21-year-old Adrian King in the head. He later died from his injuries. Another person was struck in the thigh.
