Goose Creek cops arrest clerk, look for suspects after armed robbery

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Goose Creek police have arrested one woman and identified one of two suspects wanted after a Radio Shack armed robbery on Saturday authorities say was an inside job.
Police have arrested 21-year-old Arriel Sanders, one of the clerks working at the Radio Shack at 607 St. James Avenue when it was held up by two men last Saturday just before 9 p.m.
Investigators say 22-year-old Kireem Jamie McCoy and another unidentified suspect robbed the store while three clerks were inside. Statements from Sanders and the two other clerks indicated Sanders was the clerk who opened the cages and removed products, at the behest of the robbers. The other two clerks were told to go to the back of the store and lie down, the report states.
When police were investigating the crime scene, a report states officers learned the getaway vehicle used by the suspects was actually registered in Sanders' mother's name.
Sanders explained that she had loaned the vehicle to her ex-boyfriend at 4 p.m. that day. She was then charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon, criminal conspiracy, and two counts of kidnapping.
McCoy is facing the same charges, in addition to possession of a firearm during a violent crime.
If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Kireem Jamie McCoy, do not approach him, as he should be considered armed and dangerous. Call CrimeStoppers at 554-1111 with information on McCoy's location.
