NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The family of a man murdered in North Charleston this past spring is handing out flyers around town.

Mathew Renken's family is hoping to bring more attention to  his case and find his killer.

Renken, 39, was found shot to death at Port City Liquors on Dorchester Road back  in April.

His family is offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of his killer. Crime Stoppers is also offering up $1,000 in reward money.

"I can only say what probably a thousand mothers have said. I'd like to have justice for my son who was brutally murdered here at his store," said Renken's mother Linda Renken.

"The neighbors, the people, the community, they're scared to come forward," said Renken's stepfather, Col. Nick Wackym. "People are out there and I beg you and I plead with you if I'm talking to the community right now."

No arrests have been made and North Charleston police haven't named any suspects.

If you have any information on this investigation you can call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111 or 1-888-CRIME-SC or send a text to CRIMES (274637) by marking the beginning of the message with "CSL."
