Second victim dies after McClellanville crash

MCCLELLANVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified the two people who died following a crash along Highway 17 and Lofton Road in McClellanville Saturday afternoon.

Fifty-year-old James Lynn, of Awendaw, died at the scene, while 45-year-old Sandra Cargile, of Charleston, died at MUSC from injuries sustained in the crash.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office says that an initial investigation reveals that the vehicle involved, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, suffered some sort of a tire issue, causing the vehicle to veer off the road.  The Jeep struck several trees and rolled over.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division and the Charleston County Coroner's Office are investigating the accident.
