1 person injured after car drives into pain-treatment facility

RAW: Car into pain-treatment center

Authorities say one person inside the Trident Pain Center in North Charleston received minor injuries after a motorist drove a car into the medical facility.

The North Charleston Police Department says around 10:30 a.m. the driver of a Chevy Impala accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes causing their vehicle to speed forward.

Police say the car then jumped the curb and then crashed into the treatment facility on 9267 Medical Plaza Drive.

A portion of a brick wall was destroyed by the impact.

The driver was cited for careless operation.
