WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Police have charged a man in connection with a Sept. 20 home invasion and armed robbery in West Ashley.

Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said 23-year-old Shoan Monzell Green was arrested Friday for his role in the armed robbery inside a unit of the Woodbridge Apartment Homes, located in the 2000 block of Ashley River Road.

Police say Green and two other men entered the apartment through the front door around 1 a.m. and held the two residents inside at gunpoint while they ransacked the place.

An incident report states the suspects would not allow the victims to leave the apartment until they made off with clothes, a debit card, a cell phone, two Apple computers, an Xbox gaming console, a TV, and cash.

Police said they arrested Green on Sept. 27 on a charge of obstruction of justice in relation to the home invasion. He was still behind bars at the Charleston County Detention Center when police served warrants for the new charges Friday.

Green is charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping, and first-degree burglary.

Police are still looking for two other suspects. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
