MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Officials have canceled the Carrier Classic aboard the USS Yorktown because of moisture on the court Friday night.
A game between Ohio State and Marquette was set to be played but was delayed because of conditions on the court which led to the cancellation of the game.
"It was a little colder than normal this year and the wind didn't come onto the court and didn't bring that cold air onto the court," said Bill Anderson, who is the spokesperson for the Carrier Classic."The moisture on the court just wouldn't dry up."
Anderson said this will not affect the possibility of playing the 3rd annual classic on the USS Yorktown next year.
