Report: Bomb threat note was found near Northwoods Mall food court

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - Northwoods Mall was evacuated on Saturday after a janitor found a handwritten note indicating there was a bomb inside the building, a police report states.
According to the incident report from North Charleston police, the janitor found the note on a vacant kiosk near the food court around 1 p.m. and then turned it over to mall security.
The Charleston County Bomb Squad, police, and a SLED agent were called to the scene to perform a sweep of the facilities and the mall was evacuated just before 2 p.m.
Authorities declared the mall safe around 4 p.m. after the search came up empty.
Shoppers were allowed back in by 4:30 p.m.
