MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - The trial for the three suspects in the slaying of a Mount Pleasant couple in the Caribbean has been scheduled for April 8, according to St. Maarten Solicitor Taco Stein.

Authorities in St. Maarten have arrested 17-year-old Jeremiah Mills, 20-year-old Jamal Jefferson Woolford and Meyshane Johnson in connection to the slaying of Mike and Thelma King.

The couple were found stabbed to death in their St. Maarten home last September.

The three suspects were supposed to have a pre-trial hearing on Tuesday, but that has been postponed to Feb. 19.

Stein says the trial is scheduled to begin April 8 and if necessary the following day. According to Stein, a verdict will be passed on May 8.
