WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Kingstree Middle School held a moment of silence on Monday for a 12-year-old killed over the weekend during a single-vehicle wreck.

A moment of silence was held for Deoveya McCrea, a sixth-grade student at the school.  According to the school's principal, McCrea was very well-known and liked around campus.

He was known as a good athlete and an Honor Roll student.

The wreck, which happened Saturday on Pinckney Road off Highway 261, also took the life of a teen.

A family member said Tyquan Allen, a former student at Kingstree High School, died Sunday.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly after 12 p.m. when a 1995 Cadillac carrying four people lost control, ran off the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Allen was driving the car, according to troopers.

A witness told Live 5 News she saw three of the four passengers were thrown from the car.  She dialed 911 for help.

Two other victims remain in the hospital for treatment.  They are both Kingstree High School students.

None of the occupants in the Cadillac were wearing their seatbelts, troopers said.
