JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Nearly 100 members from the 560th Red Horse Squadron are back in Charleston after a six month deployment.
The Air Force Reservists arrived home Thursday morning to cheers from friends and family eagerly awaiting their return to Joint Base Charleston.
The newly formed squadron embarked on their first deployment in November 2012 to work on heavy construction projects at various Middle Eastern locations.
Red Horse squadrons began operations on Nov. 1, 2008. They provide heavy repair and construction support for the Air Force in high-threat environments throughout the world.
