EL CAJON, CA (KSWB/CNN) - A California woman testified in court Thursday that a man she met on the dating website ChristianMingle.com raped her on their first date.
The plaintiff's testimony was in part of a preliminary hearing to determine if the amount of evidence is enough for the accused, Sean Patrick Banks, to stand trial.
During the hearing, his alleged victims said she met Banks on the website. She said he came to her home in La Mesa, CA in November 2012, where he attacked her. She said she resisted, but was too afraid to scream.
Banks was arrested in February, charged with rape, burglary and forcible rape.
The victim told the court she was victimized again ten minutes after her attacker left, when he sent her a text message. The message appeared as if he was never in her apartment. She responded to him, telling him she was no longer interested.
Banks is also accused of a 2009 rape where a woman was drunk. He's also charged with trying to dissuade a witness from prosecuting in that case.
He faces 44 years to life in prison if convicted of all charges.
