CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified a 44-year-old man who died after he lost control of his motorcycle on the westbound exit to Spruill Avenue on Interstate 26 Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say Terry Wigfall of North Charleston died on the scene from blunt force trauma to the body.

South Carolina Highway Patrol officials say Wigfall lost control of his bike which then hit a concrete barrier. Wigfall was then ejected off the motorcycle.

Officials with SCHP say the motorcycle continued to travel and struck a truck. The truck then overturned.

Authorities had shut down the exit ramp as crews cleared the scene.
