Police believe Mt. Pleasant runaway teen may be in the area
MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say they now believe a Mt. Pleasant teen that ran away from home earlier this month is in the Lowcountry. Mt. Pleasant police had earlier believed that 16-year-old Autumn Marie Ellison may have made it to the Nevada-California border with friends she knows in the Reno area.
A statement by the police released Friday afternoon states police now believe Ellison is in the Lowcountry area and in the company of another subject.
Police have released a picture of the subject who authorities say was spotted with Elllison operating a vehicle in the area.
If you have any information you are asked to contact Detective Corporal Daniel Eckert at the Mount Pleasant Police Department at 843-884-4176/843-856-3033 or via email.
Ellison was last seen at 1573 Landings Run on July 7.
Police say Ellison's father filed the missing person report on July 8. Detectives say Ellison had been with friends at 299 Coming Street and 18 Line Street.
Investigators say she was also hanging out with a friend at 518 Woodward Blvd. in Summerville. Authorities believe that Ellison does not have her cell phone.
