FOLLY BEACH, SC (WCSC) - A resolution to censure Folly Beach's Mayor Pro Tem for misconduct and remove him from office will be brought up at next week's city council meeting.

According to an agenda released for the July 23 city council meeting, the resolution for council member Eddie Ellis is back on the table.

A previous agenda released to several media outlets on July 3 stated the council would discuss the censure of Ellis on July 9, but Ellis said that agenda was a "draft" and was not meant to go public. The resolution was not presented at the July 9 meeting.

Ellis' lawyer said the item on the "draft" agenda came weeks after a heated exchange between Mayor Tim Goodwin and Ellis about city matters, including the resignation of the city's administrator.
