Charleston City Market vendors get big honor
CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston City Market vendors were recognized for their outstanding hand crafted products during an award ceremony in downtown on Friday.
Usually the spotlight is on the downtown city market being a main attraction for visitors, but the spotlight was on the vendors who work inside the main attraction.
On Friday morning, Charleston Mayor Joe Riley hosted an award ceremony recognizing 100 vendors whose products are 100 percent made right here in Charleston.
Each honoree received a ceramic tile with the city market seal to have on display at their booth telling shoppers their products are made locally.
The award program ties in nicely with the buy local theme at the city market, and is a great way to recognize the unique products made by vendors
The market continues to be an excellent spot for small business owners and entrepreneurs to showcase their best talents.
