Officials: Suspicious container empty, airport parking deck reopened

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The parking deck in front of the Charleston International Airport has been reopened after authorities determined a suspicious container was empty.

According to the Charleston County Aviation Authority, the Charleston County bomb squad, SLED agents, and aviation police responded to the parking deck around noon after a suspicious package was found.

By 1:30 p.m., authorities determined the container was empty.

The parking deck has since been reopened.
