Woman accused of stealing dead person's social security benefits
CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A Charleston-area woman is facing federal charges she stole over $1,000 in social security benefits from a dead person.
Laura Beth Dupree was indicted on a charge of theft of government property on Tuesday. The indictment does not provide many details into the allegations, but states they began in June 2009 and continue through June this year.
