Cops: Man stabbed, robbed of pills in Walterboro

WALTERBORO, SC (WCSC) - A 57-year-old man was stabbed and robbed of oxycodone in Walterboro on Wednesday, authorities say.

A Walterboro Public Safety incident report states the stabbing happened outside Napa Auto Parts on Hiers Corner Road around 5 p.m.

The victim told police he was walking down the road between Lands End Road and Eddie Chasteen Boulevard when two unknown males jumped him, struck him in the back of a head with an unknown object which caused a cut, and stabbed him in his left side.

The victim said the suspects then ran off with his pills.

EMS took the victim to Colleton Medical Center and he was then airlifted to the Medical University of South Carolina.  His condition is unkown at this time.

There are no suspects at this time.
