Man transported to hospital following mall shooting

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police officials say one man was transported to the hospital following a shooting at a mall this past weekend.

On Saturday at 7 p.m., authorities received a call regarding gun shots heard at the Citadel Mall near the food court entrance.

The caller told police that she was outside on the patio of Sesame Burgers serving some customers when she heard a gunshot. The witness said she saw a man grab his left leg with a possible gunshot wound to his upper leg.

According to police, on Sunday, the 20-year-old victim went to MUSC with a gunshot wound to the leg. Officials at MUSC then notified police.
