NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - One person and three dogs escaped a burning mobile home in North Charleston on Monday.

According to North Charleston Fire Department Public Information Officer Bianca Bourbeau, fire crews responded to the fire at 4700 Brossy Circle just after 1 p.m.  They arrived to find heavy smoke emanating from the home.

Bourbeau said crews from North Charleston, Charleston, and Joint Base Charleston initiated an "aggressive fire attack" and brought the flames under control about 20 minutes later.

There was extensive damage to the home, but no reported injuries, Bourbeau said.

The fire remains under investigation.
