JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Harbor View Road reopened just before 5am Wednesday morning after a car went over the bridge into a creek.
Charleston Police tell us a woman drove her vehicle off the James Island Creek bridge, damaging the bridge's railing. The vehicle sank in the creek, but we're told the woman climbed out of the water with only minor injuries. Charleston Police say the driver was not intoxicated at the time of the incident.
The Charleston Police Dive Team & Harbor Patrol were called to the scene to recover the car in the creek between North Shore Drive and Harbor View Circle.
No word if the driver will face any charges.
