KIAWAH ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Emergency crews rescued four teenagers at a marsh on Kiawah Island after they got stuck on a kayak Wednesday afternoon.

Officials from the Charleston County Volunteer Rescue Squad say they along with the St. Johns Fire Department were called out to the marsh behind 1411 Dune Marsh Villas for 4 juveniles who were stuck on dry ground with a kayak.

According to Chief Trae Wright, due to the shallow water and tight area, an airboat was requested to the scene.

The teens were rescued and brought to a nearby dock.

There were no injuries.
