CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - If you are a college-aged woman looking for love, College of Charleston may not be the school for you, according to a popular women's magazine.
Cosmopolitan's November issue names College of Charleston the fifth worst college to meet single guys.
An article titled "Working the Ratio" lists not only the top 10 colleges, professions and cities to meet single fellas, but also the 10 worst locations in each category. The lists are generated by calculating male-to-female ratios, and other "stealth strategies."
According to Cosmo, females make up 62 percent of the student body at CofC, which apparently does not bode well for girls who are looking for relationships.
Side note - The article also notes the Citadel's 92 percent male student body, but the military college is not on the list.
All hope is not lost for those who find themselves looking for love at CofC. A female student at Skidmore College, which is ranked tenth on the list with a female student body of 61 percent, says showing your passion and well-reasoned opinions can help you stand out in a class full of girls.
