Deputies: Homeowner shot during altercation in Berkeley County

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies are investigating a shooting that sent a homeowner to the hospital early Monday morning.

According to Captain Rick Ollic, deputies were called around 2:30 a.m. to a home on North Live Oak Drive in reference to a shooting. Deputies say an altercation between the home owner and another person lead to shots being fired.

Authorities say both the home owner and the suspect were shot. Their injures are not serious.

No word at this point on any charges being field.
