BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Two teenagers are behind bars in connection to a theater owner's assault and robbery in Beaufort County.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office arrested 18-year-old Jacklyn Marie Perez and 19-year-old Austin Lewis McQuarters on Wednesday.

According to investigators, on Oct. 20, Perez drove McQuarters to Northridge Plaza where he approached the 56-year-old owner of Northridge Cinema 10.

An incident report states McQuarters punched the victim in the face leaving him temporarily unconscious.

The sheriff's office says McQuarters then took a deposit bag from the victim and fled the scene with Perez in their getaway car.

Both of the suspects were charged with armed robbery, while McQuarters was additionally charged with first-degree assault and battery.
