Suspected cocaine traffickers arrested in Berkeley County

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Investigators have arrested two men on charges of trafficking cocaine following a traffic stop in Berkeley County.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office has charged 46-year-old William Allen Holman and 27-year-old Anthony Jerrod Williams with trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and unlawful carrying of a firearm.

Authorities say the men were taken into custody following a traffic stop in the area of Highway 176 and Highway 27.

Deputies say they recovered a baggie that was seen being tossed from the vehicle near the traffic stop. According to the sheriff's office, the baggie contained cocaine.

A .22 caliber pistol was also discovered.

Both suspects were locked up at the Hill-Finlea Detention Center.
