Children, adults unharmed after someone fires several shots into home

COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Colleton County Sheriff's Office says two adults and a number of children were found unharmed after someone fired several gun shots into a home in Walterboro.

On Sunday afternoon, deputies responded to a home on Lonesome Dove Lane in reference to shots fired into a home.

Two people inside the home say they heard several gunshots and heard their home being struck several times. Deputies searched the front of the home and found three bullet holes.

Inside the home, investigators found two bullet holes in a bedroom with one of the bullets striking a pillow on a child's bed. Authorities say the third round struck the back of a refrigerator.

The two victims said they heard six gun shots fired in rapid succession. The female victim said prior to the shooting she said she saw a red truck in the area 45 minutes before hearing the shots and heard what sounded like a truck revving its engine.
