DD2 approves proposal to allow cell phones in school

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Some high school students in Dorchester School District Two (DD2) will soon be allowed to use their cell phones in between classes without the fear of getting written up.
DD2 Board of Trustees approved a proposal Friday morning for a trial period that will allow students to use cell phones and electronic devices during the day during designated times.
The trial period will be held in three high school beginning in January.
Friday's meeting was held at Spann Elementary in Summerville.
