NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police officials say an argument led to a shooting in North Charleston Tuesday afternoon.

Officials with the North Charleston Police Department say the shooting happened in the area of Leland Street and Chicora Avenue just after 1:30 p.m.

Authorities say an initial report states that an argument between three males resulted in one of them being shot in the head.

Police say two males then fled the area.

When officers asked the victim what happened, he told police "I got a hole in my head," the report states. He did not answer any other questions.

Charleston County School District officials say Military Magnet Academy was placed under code yellow administrative lockdown due to the shooting in the area.

The victim was transported to the hospital.

Police say investigators are following up on leads and working to identify the two suspects.
