Surveillance picture snaps Georgetown armed robbery suspect

GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - Georgetown Police have released surveillance pictures of an alleged armed robber who reportedly forced his way into the backseat of a vehicle.

According to their Facebook page, Georgetown Police say the incident happened at 11pm on December 23rd in the 100 block of Orange Street.

Police say the suspect approached the victim with a gun and got into the back seat of his car, demanding money.  The victim then drove the suspect to the Wells Fargo Bank ATM on Front Street.  The victim withdrew money and gave it to the suspect.  Investigators say the suspect then demanded the victim drive back to Orange Street.  At some point, police say the victim jumped out of the vehicle and the suspect took off on foot when the car came to a stop.
