WEST ASHLEY, SC (AP) - Charleston County deputies have released photos of a suspect who robbed a West Ashley dollar store at gunpoint Tuesday night while wearing a mask made of duct tape to conceal his identity.

Deputies responded to Dollar General located at 2346 Ashley River Road around 10 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery.

According to an incident report, the duct tape-masked gunman entered the store, pointed a silver handgun at an employee, and demanded money.

After looting the store's cash register and safe, the suspect fled the scene on foot, officials say.

Authorities say the suspect was a black male with duct tape on his face, wearing a black jacket, black pants, blue hoodie, and gloves. He used a white bag to transport the stolen money.
