CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The jury was selected on Wednesday in the case of a former Charleston banker accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill his wife.

Chris Latham has been locked up since his arrest.

A judge denied bond for Latham in August, after his wife and daughter begged for him to stay behind bars.

Three other people, including Latham's girlfriend, are charged in the alleged plot.

A fourth suspect hanged himself in a Georgetown County jail back in June.

The trial is scheduled for next month.
