NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified a cyclist who was fatally struck by a fire truck late Thursday night.
Officials say firefighters were responding to a motor vehicle accident just after 11 p.m. when a bicyclist was hit and killed by a North Charleston fire truck on Cross County Road.
The victim has been identified by the Charleston County Coroner as 39-year-old Jihad Abdur-rahim of North Charleston. He died of blunt force trauma.
